Getting started
This page walks you through creating your first bot, attaching AI Knowledge Base entries, sharing the URL, and verifying conversations appear in Omni-Chats and Contacts.
5-step quickstart
- Open Webchat Bots Go to AI Bucket and open the Webchat Bots app.
- Create a bot Click create, fill in unique_name (prefer lowercase + hyphens) and display_name, plus optional description and styling.
- Attach AI Knowledge Base Search and select one or more AI Knowledge Base entries (knowledge_ids) as the bot’s knowledge source.
- Set a system prompt (optional) Add tone, formatting rules, sensitive info handling, and conditions to hand off to a human agent.
- Get the URL and test Open “Share URL & QR”, copy the URL or download the QR code, then send test messages and confirm the conversation appears in Omni-Chats.
Tips
- Put frequently updated content in AI Knowledge Base instead of hard-coding it in the system prompt.
- Be explicit about tone, length, and output format in the system prompt to get consistent responses.
- Use a consistent naming scheme for unique_name when you have multiple bots (e.g. brand-support, product-x-sales).
After launch, check
Omni-Chats conversations
Make sure new messages show up as Webchat and can be managed alongside WhatsApp/Facebook/Instagram conversations.
Contacts records
Confirm new customers are created or updated so your team can follow up and identify them across channels.
